Phu Soi Dao is located in a remote border area. Taking public transport is possible but is a bigÿwaste of time and energy. If you are not driving there, it is wise, and much cheaper,ÿto go in group and share the cost of a hired van, or join trips organised byÿmembers of trekking web sites.

Campers must make sure they bring along enough food. Porter service is available. So,ÿbe kind to yourself and let the villagers carry your heavy rucksack up the mountain so they can earn some extra cash.
