Doi Luang Chiang Dao
(Chiang Mai)

Towering 2,275 metres above mean sea level, Doi Luang Chiang Dao is the kingdom's tallest limestone mountain. Thanks to its tremendous size and unmistakable jagged peak, which are considerably different from other surrounding mountains, Doi Luang Chiang Dao is easily recognisable, even from the viewpoint of  Huai Nam Dang National Park, located 30km or so away.
But appreciating the grandeur of Doi Luang Chiang Dao from afar is nothing compared to actually experiencing the wonderful world up there. The 360-degree vista from the chilly summit and the plethora of flowering plants found nowhere else in Thailand are the major reasons that make this mighty mountain a dream destination for nature lovers.
