Khao Sok National Park

A rugged limestone mountain range, the spellbinding wilderness, and stunning views of a glimmering reservoir are just some of the things that make Khao Sok National Park in Surat Thani a preferred destination for nature lovers.
The park stretches across 645 square kilometres, encompassing lush jungles and reservoir of the Ratchaprapha Dam. Its stunning landscape is also home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna.
Within this national park, visitors will get a real sense of being in the wild as they ride on a long-tailed boat across the expansive reservoir surrounded by majestic limestone mountains.
Crusing to remote corners of the artificial lake, you have good chance to spot some of the park's elusive wildlife. Khao Sok also have heaps of caves and subterranean streams for visitors to explore, as well as many stunning waterfalls.

The park's headquarters is located 1.5 kilometres off highway 401. The entrance is at the 109 kilometre marker. The reservoir can be accessed via Ratchaprapha Dam, which can be reached via a small road off the same highway at the 57 kilometre marker. The dam is 12 kilometres from the main road.
Vans leave from Surat Thani town for Khao Sok regularly.
